Age relativity, aka – time does go faster as you get older
This past weekend i was with L while she was getting a new stereo installed at the BestBuy. We were at the installation area, chatting with the dudes that worked there. They all had an interest in her neon hybrid vehicle, and she had all the answers ready for ‘em. MPG, road trip, battery life, regenerative braking goodness. One of the guys brought up his WRX and its awesome 8 MPG because of all his modifications, and that he had to put in the racing tank to get more than 90 miles a tank.
After a bit, he mentioned that he’d always wanted an Insight, ever since he was a kid.
My conversational brain went into autopilot while the rest processed this new information. Since he was a kid? He’s gotta be 17 or 18… and the Insight came out in 2000. Which would make him 9 or 10.
i need to stay aware and try and keep that in perspective.
