moblogging vs laptopping
is laptopping a word? does it have a definition that doesn’t sound like it’s something else entirely?
posting blogs via mobile phone feel like hugely epic posts, covering topics from nuclear engineering to my little pony… but in reality, they’re a sentence and a half on the heavy side. it’s a shock to the system when you see the post later on, rendered in all its glory, to find that it’s not quite the fitzgerald epic you were hoping for.
but there’s a lot to be said for getting the words out of your system when the thought comes in. at some point, i’ll likely try moblogging at 4am, when i awake from a heavy stupor with the most brilliant thought just dying to be written down. note:: yes, i expect a lot of 7am deleted mails. what’s brilliant while still asleep is rarely so once the faculties compose themselves.
